Career Conversations

As of right now I hope to become a bilingual clinical psychologist working with children. I am especially interested in exploring the ways in which mindfulness-based therapy can help children with emotional disorders, specifically anxiety, learn affective coping skills. I hope to work with the latino-American population in the U.S.

I am currently interning at Total Achievement Program (TAP) in Attleboro, MA which is an after school program for children ages 6-12 with emotional and behavioral disorders. I plan and lead group therapy sessions. This experience has really influenced and inspired the direction in which I want to go in my future career.

This summer 2011 I am trying to find a clinical research assistant position near Springfield, Boston, MA or Providence, RI investigating clinical therapies for children with anxiety or other emotional disorders.
